My Personal Back in the Saddle game

No, unfortunately, I didn't get to work with BITS. But I did crawl back onto the floor last night after taking last season off for, uh, personal reasons. I was really, really worried about it, of course, because I always worry a lot about everything. But it's like riding a bicycle, I suppose, and it all just flowed.

I made a couple of calls that were definitely the right calls, but the wrong signal. And I almost gave the ball to the wrong team on a held ball , but corrected it at the last possible instant.

I'm definitely NOT ready to get back to my old schedule. Nope, definitely NOT ready. but at least I may get there some day. THere was a time when I really wasn't sure I ever would.

Good for you and welcome back!

FYI - My first five games are all girls - and two are JV. I'm looking forward to em! A game is a game - and more experience for me!

You might want to phrase that differently.

Juulie - welcome back!

Hopefully refereeing is one way to making life seem "back to normal".

Juulie, welcome back. I had a similar experience Tuesday night, although my leave of absence was only half a season (due to a mid-season cross-state move). It was still weird until I tossed the ball up.

Welcome back to the forum and to the hardwood. You'll be back in proper rythmn in no time! It's been too long and we've missed you. By the way, did you crank up Aerosmith and sing Back in the Saddle Again before the game? Huh?

It feels great to be Back in the Saddle, doesn't it?

I'm delighted to hear that it went so well. When's the next one?
