Correctable error
It only happens once in a blue moon:
Weekend tournament, table changes every game: Foul on A1. We asked scoring table, they say it is sixth team foul. We put the ball back in play, Team A shoots but does not score. We go to the other end and Team B shoots and misses. We have a held ball and horn sounds. The table now tells us it was the 7th foul. Partner and I talk about the situation. We have not had a second dead ball since and we can correct the error. The question is how is it administered. I think that we blew the admin. We shot FT's with players in marked positions and played on. After reading the rule book this morning, I think that we should have had no one on lane and started at POI with the posession arrow. Is that correct? |

Yes, no one should of been on the lane as you were awarding a merited free throw and there was a change of possession. Put the ball back at POI, which in your case is the AP. 2-10-6
