Weekend tournament, table changes every game:

Foul on A1. We asked scoring table, they say it is sixth team foul. We put the ball back in play, Team A shoots but does not score. We go to the other end and Team B shoots and misses. We have a held ball and horn sounds. The table now tells us it was the 7th foul.

Partner and I talk about the situation. We have not had a second dead ball since and we can correct the error. The question is how is it administered. I think that we blew the admin.

We shot FT's with players in marked positions and played on. After reading the rule book this morning, I think that we should have had no one on lane and started at POI with the posession arrow.

Is that correct?

Yes, no one should of been on the lane as you were awarding a merited free throw and there was a change of possession. Put the ball back at POI, which in your case is the AP. 2-10-6
