Nevadaref: Thanks. I'm not 100% sure, by rule, what a manager, or statistician, is? Very often the team manager is already at the table as the scorekeeper, either the official home scorekeeper, or the visiting "unofficial" scorekeeper, or timekeeper. A person keeping track of statistics; rebounds, assists, blocked shots, turnovers, etc., may also have the title of assistant coach, and the citation above states "coach", making me think that any type of coach on the bench, head, or assistant, may not approach the table. Keeping in mind what I've described above, with only coaches, and team members, on the bench, it doesn't appear that anyone may approach the table to found out about time outs, or fouls, and the only method of communication would be for a coach to yell over to the table. Am I understanding this correctly?

By rule, yes -- if there are no "managers or statisticans" on the bench, then no one can approach the table.

That said, please use some judgment when enforcing this.
