Illegal Headbands

I'm looking for an answer and a reference to the following question......

When an entire team is wearing illegal headbands a technical foul is assessed directly to the head coach.

Thanks

Hint: There is a difference between "Uniforms" (rule 3-4) and "Equipment / Apparel" (rule 3-5).

Which does "Headbands" fall into?

For what infraction is the coach charged a T? (see 10-5)

Either take them off or they don't play, simple as that! no violation, no technical, they just can't come into the game with illegal headband on.

Not an option.

Casebook 3.5.6A ...RULING: The items in a, b, and c, are illegal and A6 will not be allowed to participate while wearing the items. No penalty is involved. A6 simply cannot participate until the illegal items are removed.

I'm assuming that illegal headbands fall under this as an 'illegal item'.

Headbands are easier than uniforms because you rarely have a problem when players expose their naked heads.

They are also free to take off the handbands without leaving the visual confines of the court!
