We were informed the test is the same/similar as hard copy (looks it on the web too) and the questions are rotated around. So for example if two people would be sitting together in a school taking it, all their questions would be moved around and they would have different question 1, 2, and 3, etc.. While there are numerous different permutations and folks may eventually see the same question later, two folks can't sit next to each other and "assist" each other and take the exact same test.

I have a question about the exams.
When I called in NY, NC and GA, I was required to take only 1 exam. Don't remember whether this was Part I or Part II. Now in Oklahoma, I have to take Part I and Part II. Is OK the norm, i.e., do most states require you to take Part I and II? Why? How are the exams different? Thanks in advance. |

In UT we're required to pass the Part I test in order to get games. Part II is required only to work post season games. The two tests are very similar: 100 T/F questions many of which are poorly written and a few that cause controversy. Here Part I is open book and must be completed by a certain date. Part II is open book, and is normally taken during an association meeting, which effectively limits your time to about 2 hours and normally degrades into open book/open neighbor. So get there early and get a seat at a table with the rule book nerds.

At last night's rules clinic we were told future exams will have multiple choice questions and may eventually have videos for interpretations..... Based on the videos we've seen posted here and the discussions we've had, I sure hope they're clear cut....if that's possible!
State official even made a comment about the possibility of coaches having to take tests in the future......

They are also talking about decreasing the number of questions as well. Its kind of funny, NCAA test is 35 questions, but high school is 100 questions...go figure???
