Our chapter policy is that, other than our particularly sytlish and flattering uniform, officials are not to wear anything on the floor that a player is not allowed to wear. There was a quick interaction with the President when he brought that policy to the attention of the membership;
Official: "What about a wedding ring?" Pres: "Can a player wear a wedding ring?" Official: "No." Pres (to membership): "Any other questions on this topic?"
