Thumbs up

(You knew it was coming, didn't you )This is considered proper attire at camp. Note the stripes on the jersey are going in the correct direction, but are just shorter than usual. Wearing sunglasses is optional.

Is this the new NCAA OUTFIT for next year?

No, seriously, some camps say "shorts optional", but take both, because when you get there you will hear most say not to wear them, especially if the gyms are air conditioned, if they aren't then maybe they will not really care, but most assignors like to see you work in what you supposed to be wearing. Don't give them an excuse to look down on you!

Yeah - and imagine how much fun it's going to be to watch Wellmer work in that!

I was surprised recently to discover a partner in an AAU game wearing dress shorts with a belt. Seemed really weird.

I wear black basketball player style shorts to camps (drawstring, no pockets). Although I have discovered doing AAU this spring that I need to get some extra long shirts. My normal length shirts, which stay in place quite nicely inside my pants, don't want to stay in all the time in my shorts without the sans-a-belt waistband.

Hey, this guy gets around. AAU ball also and this guy always wears black golf shorts and a canvas belt with tan leather. I expect him to ask "Has anyone seen a titleist three"?

I does look strange.

I get long Nike black shorts to hide my chicken wing legs......

We have a guy who works only our local kids rec league and has never officiated anywhere else. He's a retired computer geek. He owns one jersey - it has a collar and a chest pocket. He wears pleated pants with cuffs and a belt. He has an old lanyard and a cheap plastic whistle. At least the pants, belt, lanyard and whistle are black. He also wears some old high top canvas gym shoes with dirty white laces, white soles and a white circular logo patch at the ankles. He wears horn-rimmed brown glasses with some kind of rubber nose protector. They fall off once or twice a game.

We don't want him to change a thing. He's precious.

BTW - he really does a good job.

Yes, we knew it was coming......and it was expected!

However, from what I've seen, many of us (me included), might not look so good.....
