You can where black dress shorts to the meetings and social hour.

Actually, I didn't notice that....Wasn't studying the picture quite as detailed as you apparently were

I just thought the entire getup was funny

The web site actually says black or dark blue shorts. Yeah, they mean athletic type shorts.
PS - Just don't forget your black string ties!!
