Newbie

Fellow Newbie,

This was my first year officiating and this forum proved very helpful with rules and specific case situations. I also enjoy the sarcasm (and thought it was cool when they ripped that guy a new one regarding the Stanford-UCLA thread). My first year of officiating was fantastic - my wife loves the fact that I quit coaching and no longer give a crap about winning and losing. I will continue to visit the forum to get professional insight!!

I have been really enjoying reading the post with specific situations that happened. It is nice to get some insight into what you actually see and do and how people view different game situations. A good discussion over something really keeps things going.

Isn't it so much better than coaching?!? I won't ever go back. Maybe when my kids get older...... nah.

And it even works for the single guys. I've made a few friends in the teaching profession over the last 6 years.
