If there aren't good bonds keeping the thorax and base together, or the thorax and head together, then why should Snowman-B1 be responsible for Snowman-A1 not spending enough time in the cold?

I say no foul.

It appears Snowman B1 had established legal guarding position and was quite probably stationary.
