[26 Year Gap]

Today in the 2nd game of a VG/VB dh, the home team launched a desperation 3 just past half court at the buzzer to stretch their lead to 5 at halftime. In the 2nd half, the home team ran off about 1:30 with a one point lead and then a kid shot a terrible shot with about 20 seconds to go. They secured the rebound but traveled to give the visitors a shot at winning. They threw it away and then fouled with about 5 seconds left. 1&1 first shot is off and visitor rebounder heaves it and a teammate gets it about 20 feet from the basket, drives and lays it up. Buzzer sounds as ball bounces on rim and drops through for the win by a point.

First game was a snoozer. Off for 5 days. Merry Christmas everyone.

I had a buzzer beater last night. The visiting team had the lead for the entire game until about 2 minutes left. In the last sequence, the visiting team is down by 2 and their guard goes to the basket and hits a shot that bounced around the rim a couple of times and finally went in. About 6 seconds left and the home team's leading scorer (it appeared) goes the length of the floor and hits a little jumper at the buzzer. Great game and I will be off until December 26.

About three years ago, I had a game in which A1, his team trailing by one, shoots just before the final horn, which goes off while the ball is in the air. The ball hits the back of the rim, bounces high, comes down onto the front of the rim, bounces back up, comes down on the bracket, bobbles there about 3 or 4 times, then falls in.

Every time it hit the rim, the crowd yelled "OH". It was kind of cool.
