.

I'm the opposite. Officiating is my avocation, not my vocation. I'd do it for free, although not as many games as I do now. I get paid to get a good cardio workout and have fun.

With the move to 3-person crews, you still get paid to have fun, but you don't get paid for a "good cardio workout." Being out on the court is better than being sedentary, but one of the things I dislike about the 3-person games is that we don't get to run as much anymore.

Still, on balance, 3-person crews are preferred.

That is the truth! I worked a 2-person game last Fri and a (terrible!) 3-person game last night and it was no contest, last night we hardly broke a sweat...granted the game was brutal, no up and down, no flow, but still....

Smile

Games went well! All rotations seemed very easy and I was very comfortable with it by the middle of the second game. I never realized how small of an area you actually have to cover in 3-man.

Best part, instead of splitting the checks, the school paid us all the full amount ($90.00).

Heck, it doesn't get any better with a 14 yr old at home either!
