One thing that I have found useful this year that a couple of associations have done is to have a couple coaches come to a meeting. Give them a topic to discuss, like the one I was at the topic was coaches expectations of officials. Then open up to questions from the officials to the coaches.

This seemed to work pretty well and was fairly enlightening. Gave a nice insight to what the coaches in our area are looking for out of officials. Did this prior to season starting.

We have a meeting before our business meeting that we call the "Better Officiating" meeting. It is primarily for first and second year officials where we go over things that they may have seen in their games and were unsure about, rules interps, we show them videos on traveling, rough post play, etc...

these are really good sessions and over the last year or 2 we are starting to get a lot of participation from the vets as well....

Our regular meeting are the typical business stuff but we also have an interpreters session where our board interpreter goes over things. That part is really good.

One of my favorite meetings from our association that we've done the past couple of years involves reviewing video of actual game situations and discussing it. Very helpful.
