I hate bad weather

Had a good game scheduled for last night, but it was cancelled due to possible bad weather for the team about 50 miles north of here. I hate bad weather. On the upside, home town high school was having a "hoop fest" Girls JV 3:30; Boys JV 4:45; Girls V 6:00; Boys V 7:30. Saw the two V games and watched two good games. Also watched with a close eye two good but very different style crews.

Only problem for me last night was during the girls game I was sitting two rows in front of a Howler Monkey... and he was wrong every single time!! I wanted to throw up on his shoe.

Puke, rev. It's "puke on his shoes". If you're gonna hang around here, ya gotta use the correct jargon.

Sometime during the 4th quarter of my game on Friday, somebody (later found to be a player), was replaced by a sub and went directly into our locker room to vomit. We had no idea until we entered the locker room at the conclusion of the game and became sick. At least the kid made it to the trash can.

The neat thing, the kid came back into the game and made the game-winning shot with 2.6 remaining. We found out the next morning that the suspect was the player due to an article in the local newspaper.

I had a 6th grade boy several years ago who was turning green. I stopped the game and called him over. He took two steps towards me, started running to the locker but didn't make it off the floor. The coach... a friend... looked at me. I looked back at her and said, "Hey. It's your player coach."
