Welmer's worked 44 games as of yesterday, 12/29/2007. In December, he had off the 6th, 7th, 24th, 25th, and 26th. That's 24 games in 29 days in December.

Bwtween his season start on November 9 and today, he's had a total of 44 games in 51 days. Wow.
24 games in 29 days is not unusual. When I first started officiating I had one of the local "big dawgs" send me his schedule. I counted him working 26 days in January of that season.
