What can I say since I spent 3 straight days after I got off work at a college soccer tournament. Makes me realize why I prefer indoor sports in the fall months.

I wasn't expecting to do any college games this year until a local school contacted me about filling in temporarily while thry try to find a new stat intern. Heck, I'm stil trying to get used to the new NCAA rule and stat changes.

My Travelpro roller bag looked over stuffed because this years jacket takes up twice as much room more than last years. I store mine in a plastic bag now because I saw my partners white stripes got really dirty after 2 games.

I don't use one, but I have a really hard time getting over the old jacket. I think they look a lot better!

I'm sure that you will get over your.....um.....er......attachment to your old jacket one day. There will be other jackets, I'm sure. I'm sure that one day you'll find that one special jacket.

That was just an awesome, dare I say, magnificent attempt at empathy.

But you must give poor Tanner a break. He feels a certain attachment to all of his gear. That's why he brings so much with him to every game. I have it on good authority that, even though his first game isn't until tomorrow, he started packing his gear last week. Even so, he may still not have time to work up to that optimum level of gear that he demands. One can only hope that for his sake they start manufacturing those PODS containers in larger sizes.

My middle name is empathy.

Even as we speak, FedEx is winging a relief package to Tanner, something to take his mind off of his loss. The package contains a twinkie. Sure, it may be a used twinkie, but it's the thought that counts.
