2 or 3-Person (The Poll)

OK, it seemed like there were quite a few variances in the previous thread so this will make it easier to keep track of the results.

Just to pick nits, this isn't really a vote as much as a tally. Also, you might ask about season games vs play-off and tournament games. There's been some talk about states that use 2-person for the season, and 3-person for the post-season, but I can't really remember for sure.

Also, some states use 2 person most of the time, and then 3 person during holiday tournaments and the like.

And since you've been a very good referee this year, Scrapper, we're going to let you do a little three man.

In Ohio there are still a few conferences that use two-person for girls varsity games. Other than them, all other varsity games are three person. There are a few conferences that also use three person in boys JV, otherwise everthing below varsity is two person.

Wow, wait until a court gets a hold of that one.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. If forced to go to court over this, the state can put every AD in the state on the stand and every one of them will testify, under oath, that you get just as good a game from a two man crew, sometimes better.

At least that's what the AD's have always told us!

D-1 required to do 4 GV & 4 BV 3 man crews.
D-2 required to do 3 of each.
D-3 required to do 2 of each.
D-4 required to do 1 of each.

Schools can opt for more and some do just that. Tournaments have crews of 3.

So, I can't vote in the poll.

We also have some in Central Ohio that use 3 for girls JV also. Most are occuring with Frosh/JV. It depends on the league.
