My son and his friend each have a pair of the sneakers. The basketball sneakers are OK, but do not provide as much support as a pair of adidas or Nikes, IMO. They don't have the thickness of the competitors' more expensive shoes. But for young kids that don't have ankle problems yet, they're fine. I would rate them as similar to the Shaqs put out (I think) by Starter, which run in the $25 - $30 range, and some of the And1 sneakers.
The colors ran in the Knicks uniform color spectrum (white, blue, orange) The casual sneakers are as good as any of the others by the competitors, and well worth the $10. They did have some black sneakers that could conceivably be used as official's shoes, but the size selection was limited, and all shoes were 'D' width, so I can't give a personal review. At these prices, the stock on the selling floor is all that they offer, and there is no sales service to speak of. Steve & Barrys is also a good source of t-shirts, polos and khakis at reasonable prices.
