Marlins pitcher Dontrelle Willis' wife gave birth to a baby yesterday. ESPN.com had run a poll asking if pro athletes should work on the day their children are born. Over 70% responded that they should not.

Added the SportsCenter anchor, "90% also said that Dontrelle should name the new baby 'Whatchu talkin' 'bout' ". :D

I hate to give JR more ammunition than he already has, but I love this strip, and I thought some of you might enjoy this one.

Absolutely false. Logically, "some" is equivalent to "at least one", and can include "all".

"Some people enjoyed this" is true if only one person enjoyed it.
"Some people enjoyed this" is also true if everybody enjoyed it.

I can only conclude that you never took a Logic course (or at least, that you never took a Logic course that I've taught :D ).

I just watched "Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" with my daughter in the last couple of weeks. I don't remember that <s>grope</s> scene. Must have been in Episode IV.

So, if I say "some people are short", it can logically follow that "all people are short"?
