I don't have my books with me, but are you sure? The rules only specify that a replaced player has to sit out at least one tick. There's nothing that says a new player must play a tick. As long as S6 wasn't one of the original 5 on the floor, it's legal IMO.

The way I understand it as written is once the substitutes enters the game any others who desires to enter must wait. My dialogue would be that S6 came from the bench after the initial five entered the floor. Thus, he/she must wait.
