Knowledgeable TV Announcers

While he is not one of the "big time" announcers, the only guy IO have ever seen who knows rules is Irv Brown.

FWIW, Irv is a former official and he still keeps up with what is going on. I have heard him explain why an unpopular call was correct. He stands up for officials when they can be defended.

No one else is close.

So do you believe everything you hear? Trust me, and everyone else here, Packer knows very, very little about the rules. End of story.

yours was the first post that did not deal with the OP seriously and the only way a reader would know sarcasm was intended was if they had been aware of discussions about Packer on this forum - the sarcasm was not obvious
