Don't blame the messenger. The idea is that anyone reading this forum should know exactly how a rule works. The last thing needed is an official wrongfully handing out a "T" to a team for not having the book ready at the 10-minute mark just because he read it here.

Hmm, most 7/8 MS, CYO, and AAU games are lucky to get 5-10 minutes between games max (at our previous CYO game, the referees wanted us to put 5 minutes between the first and second game). If the rule about submitting a squad list and starter was enforced to the letter in these games and situations, lots of these games would start with either a single or double administrative tech to start the game.

Anything below high school, I don't even worry about the 10 minute mark. Half the time, we're lucky to have it in by the 3 minute mark because teams can't even take the court or bench until the game before them is over. 8 minutes between games, there's no way I'm enforcing the 10 minute rule.

7/8 grade AAU game? I just want the starters designated before tipoff.
