It is finally over.

Tonight was a great way to end the regular season in basketball. Two teams that hate completely hate each other. One ranked the other near the top of the conference. Two fiery coaches going at it. The coaches even went after each other on some level during one part of the game. Game goes down to the wire. Every call the fans react to. One controversial call in the middle of the game adds to the rivalry. Everyone from both towns at the game (or at least it seemed that way). I live for this time of year.

Good luck to all those that have post season games and had an enjoyable season. Another one in the books.

Peace

Ditto, ditto, and ditto, minus the controversial call in the middle of the game, minus the coaches going after each other, plus two teammates knocking heads while going for a loose ball and creating a pool of blood clean-up delay in the 3rd quarter, ditto, and ditto on the best wishes to those with post-season assignments.

Same here although it was my second post season game semi final district game. As I expected the #1 seed just handed the other team a whipping. Looks like I'm done for the regular HS season. Might do some rec. Can't wait to go to some camps.... Good wishes to those who will go on to do post season games..

I had a district final last night that someone else could have had. 5 technical fouls, one intentional foul and too much BS. High school basketball shouldn't be this way.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast has some of the worst coaches I've ever seen in high school basketball. They are similar to AAU coaches. I'm not saying the coaches are bad people off the court, but there are coaches here who are bad people during the games.

I'm already basically done with anything interesting or exciting. I've been having dt's all this week. I'm having a rough time even reading about all the play-off games y'all are doing, because I didn't get one this year.

** SIGH **

Okay, i'm done with the self-pity thing. Y'all keep posting, or I'll have to start thinking about something else besides basketball, and that's REALLY the pits!!

These are the reasons we were born. In Mi. we are just ending up on reg. season and district play starts Mar. 5. Congrats to all with post-season assignments. We go from end of Aug. till middle of Mar. and I for one, am ready for a bit of break. maybe the season will switch for us as well this summer. We (Mi.) are one of the last holdouts. Nobody in Mi. wants to switch, (AD's,coaches, refs) so maybe there is stlll a glimmer of 'what is right'.
We are starting to see the season ending matchup for Conf. titles and its really startin' to get good around here.

Sometimes those end-of-season games are the memorable ones. Those are the ones to file away in the memory bank.

Hope you don't go stir-crazy until baseball season starts. At this rate, the snow won't be gone until sometime around mid-April. (This is where mick rolls his eyes and says, "Yea, so?")

I still have some post season games left. Last night was my final regular season game. I am sure I might have a game or two left that will be almost as interesting. We will just have to see.

Peace
