I'm all smiles. I only know Mark through his writings on this web page. It must be a treat to know him on a personal level.

And not one story about Dave and his infinite wisdom!

Still, I enjoyed the article.

Did you ever get the key? Or are you just letting the bills pile up in the box?

Actually, they ran an old photo of me working a game. I looked about 50 pounds lighter. And - they must have photoshopped out the fishnets.

I got a call from the reporter yesterday and he said he got some calls from people wanting to hear some other "funny stories" about officiating. I'm going to send him a list.

So far, I've had lots of people tell me they saw the article. When you consider I've worked this local rec league for 15 years and refereed literally thousands of kids, a lot of people around here recognize me. Makes it really hard to get away with all those felonies I commit.

I didn't see any pictures on the web story. Do I need to turn off Norton AntiUgly and Google Ugly Blocker to see it?

They don't always have all the photos on the web that appeared in print. You might see it if you turn on your "Tom Cruise Lookalike Filter".

Why, you looking for a "cult-like" following?

Yeah - I finally got the keys. All that was in the box were more notices of postal rate increases.

To credit Johnny Carson from a few (many?) years ago, "The postal service is raising its rates again. They have to buy more "Next Window Please" signs.
