Incredible shot to win

I stuck around for the varsity game last night, and saw the most fantastic final shot I've ever seen. It also didn't hurt that it was my alma mater playing an old rival either

Tied ball game with about 20 seconds. Timpview drives, gets fouled, makes second of two foul shots to put them up by one. Head down the other way, Orem works it around looking for a good shot, doesn't find one, puts up a less-than-ideal shot, Timpview gets the rebound. Orem fouls and the clock stops with 0.8 seconds.

March down to the other end. Timpview's shooter misses the front end of a 2 shot. Then, with no Timpview players on the lane, the thrower deliberately misses the second shot. Orem's big man gets the rebound, heaves it the entire length of the court, the buzzer goes of as the ball passes midcourt, and...

NOTHING BUT NET!

Look for it in the upper right-hand corner.

Yeah, come on Ray, it happens about once every two or three years or so out of several million games. Not like it's that big a deal.

Got it
What a shot, that kid must have had one hell of a year so far to gather up that much concentrated luck

You might have a rather difficult time convincing the Orem kids of that

Great shot.

I had a REAL circus shot in a game I did years ago. 8th grade game, and one team's guard is a really good ball player. A bit of a hot dog too, but at one point, in his frontcourt, he's chasing the ball out of bounds just inside the old 28 foot line, and in the air, heaves it BEHIND his back (with both hands) and SWISH!! I was trail, like 5 or 8 feet from him and had to think for a second before I gave the three point signal.

That was the shot of my career so far, and its going to take a real doosy to beat that.

The presumed correct spelling is "Duesy," as the term comes from the Duesenberg car. "It's a Duesy!"

I'm feeling particularly anal tonight.

Talking Go Tigers!

I couldn't believe it when I saw that shot! Amazing! It's always a plus when it's OCH, and doing against THS makes it even sweeter!
