yep it is, I was just getting clarification from D12b that he thought they should keep the ball (I agree) and the arrow (I disagree ) LOL:eek:

what a waste of time and virtual space -- how is this an issue -- way to overthink something that common sense would naturally clear up...

does anyone have a few extra Darwin awards to hand out here I will never get this time back -- maybe i should file something with some acronym type organization

So you are saying that if the defense kicks the ball on the AP throw in, Team A now gets the throw by way of violation and the previous AP throw in is now ignored so the Arrow stays in the direction of team A? That seems like you are now punishing team B.

The offense might lose the arrow but they don't lose the throw-in. They would have lost the arrow on the subsequent substitute throw-in for the defensive violation anyway. They are not disadvantaged in any way iow. They are simply repeating their original AP throw-in after the kicking violation. They never lose this throw-in.

Your logic is faulty from the git-go. What you are suggesting actually penalizes the defensive team twice for one violation.

rain you mean to tell me that this is something worth clearing up?

like several have said -- the alternative is they keep the ball and the arrow -- which doesn't seem fair or right and to make a big deal over putting in the term legally touched with exceptions here and there seems a bit overkill for something that most officials will get right and maybe actually think about it after the game. JMO -- this was an anthill that a mountain hath been bestowed upon

sometimes you dont know something is a waste of your time until after you have read, done, experienced it -- by the time i got to the punchline it was a *pop* moment of man those minutes are gone forever. Until the punchline however I was very curious as to what the violation was and was really hoping for a revelation -- much like Rocky V the build up and anticipation caused a major let down thats all.

I did. In my defense, it's one of the major cinematic epics of my childhood - hence, I am obligated to see each new release in the theater. - And I liked the new one. Did my OfficialForum stock just go down?:)

who would have guessed V would have been such a stinker -- the first 4 were great to very good -- and the new one wasnt bad.
