College stripes

Who is the manufacture for the college officials stripes? Since they have gone to the black stripe under the arm I was wondering who supplied their shirts? Do they have one supplier or are there many?

You can get them from almost anywhere now... Cliff Keen has a nice shirt and so doesn't The Officials Choice.

While we're on the topic of the "new" College style shirt. The IHSA (Illinois) has just issued a message that these shirts are NOT approved to be worn.

Kind of silly. If all three officials are wearing the shirt, what does it matter?

What does any of that have to do with wearing the shirt with the black inseam under the arm?

These shirts are approved in Minnesota as long as all 3 officials wear them.

So you're saying you wouldn't care if the crew before your HS game were all wearing the gray shirts? I mean, what does it matter as long as all 3 are wearing the same shirt? Right?

And the problem with that would be...?

If the level allows grey shirts to be worn, then what difference does it make?

The things I do not get about these shirts are they are still black and white. Why does it matter if the all officials wear the same exact jersey? If that is the case then we should be upset when one person wears a mesh shirt and another person wears polyester.

Peace

I'm with jrut on this. Mesh/poly. Flag/no flag. Inset stripe/no inset. The differences are so minute. Black shoes, black socks, black pants, black and white striped shirt, and a whistle on a lanyard = go get'um!

Better make sure that they all have the same slacks too...can't have just one with pleats!!

My point is there are so many styles of striped shirts. I am not sure why these panel shirts are so different? If you look at all the styles of shirts people wear, it is pretty obvious to see the differences. If the shirts are black and white, then that should be good enough. I do not make the rules, so I will do what they want. I wish they would have said something definitive before the season started.

Peace

WOW!!!! I didn't realize this was going to get such a response. I do agree with some of you on this, if one is going to wear the shirt the the inset stripe, then the whole crew should wear them. Not two with and one without or vice versa. That is just too much of a difference, it is not the same as each person wearing a different brand of stripes without the inset, in that case it should not matter.

Wrong.

I'm saying the rule states "The official's uniform shall be a black-and-white striped shirt, black pants, shoes and socks." What does part of this rule does that shirt violate?
