ALL High School basketball games were cancelled on Thursday! The only game that was played in the area was the Blues hockey game. They had about 6000 loyal fans. Over 300,000 home w/o electricity. Over 400 schools closed on Friday. Roads are still crappy. I do not think there are going to be many games played today.

Good point. I'm a Blues' fan, but it's been hard to watch them with my basketball schedule and then when I do have time, it's even harder to actually watch them!

MAn, what is with you people. We woke up this morning to 8 inches of fresh new snow, and guess what. We all got up and came to work. Schools are open. Games are on. The snow plows are running. People are shoveling their driveways. And NO ONE'S COMPLAINING!!!!

Gotta love Alaska.

The NCAA postponed today's men's soccer Final Four which is being held in St. Louis.

And had to issue refunds to the 14 people who had bought tickets.

Move to the Chicago area. My games went on last night and the roads were completely clear as if it had snowed several days ago. It also helped that both teams were only a few blocks away. Many schools in the direct area that I live were closed on Friday. I guess I lucked out.

Peace

Wink

All of our games here in Oregon occur during our annual rain festival, which runs from January through December each year.

Keep on saying that. Pacific Northwest people keep on saying this lie so that nobody else will realize that it's a great place to live.

We had a very popular governor, Tom McCall, who promoted the motto: "Oregon, please come visit but don't stay".

Actually, our favorite bumper sticker here is "Don't Californicate Oregon".
