It finally bit the dust!

Sad night last week. I lost my partner for the past 8 years. We never missed a single game together. He was with me in my best calls, worst calls, and inadvertant whistles. My old Fox 40 CMG died. Wonder how many years I'll get out of this new one?

LOL! Good one Mark. If I remember correctly Bob, you had the old style CMG. Are you now using the new version CMG?

How does a Fox 40 whistle stop working? What did you do to it? Before you throw it away, you might want to to clean it with soap and hot water.

The plastic cracks. Therefore, instead of having a three-chambered whistle, you now have 4 or more. More than likely he bites down on the whistle, after time it just finally goes. At least, that's what I do.....but who knows with Bob!

Exactly. It's happened to me, too.

It's the newer CMG. I don't like them as much, but have used it before so it doesn't feel all that different. I use a mini for volleyball so my next JV game I'm going to try that in the first half to see how it works. I think I've got one or two CMGS still in the package a couple of classics and a mini or two, so I should be good for a while.
