Has this happened to you?

So I'm working my first game of the season and I'm with an older guy and he has already done around 10games more of less....Now I'm excited about this season! and during halftime I'm bringing up a couple of things that might occur ie last second shot etc and he just sayes just swallow your whistle and
lets get the game over with! We in our area don't have a assignor, so....I don't really have anybody to talk with! and I have several game with this dude! I guess I could cancell those games with him!???? what would you do?

You can suck it up and try and talk to the guy to let him know where you stand, but it doesn't sound like he will be very receptive to that. Just call your game the way you know it should be called. In the long run, people will notice you hustling and working hard and doing a better job than the guy who's just hurrying things along so he can pick up his check. Don't be afraid to make your calls - otherwise you're not doing anyone any good out there.

Or you can move to a better place to ref...like Portland.
