Damn. And I thought this thread had actually relocated to where it belongs, somewhere like the baseball forum, or general forum, where it better fits.

What? There's baseball scheduled in October?

Anyway, I might even have to wear a Blue Jay's hat this weekend...

SportsCenter Alert!

The Dodgers played a wild one with the Rockies today in Colorado. The final score was 19-11. Each team had a seven run inning and 1B Jamey Loney of the Dodgers had 2 HRs and NINE RBI!

Yep, he drove someone in nine times! Bueller, Bueller, ...

Yes M&M, there is baseball in October & sometimes even November.

Being a cubbies fan it's probably hard for you to believe, but it's true.

To quote an esteemed old member: shut up.

Actually, I've actually had a slightly perverse thrill in watching the Cardinals implode. Where I live it is evenly split between Cardinal fans and Cub fans, and I've gotten a little tired of their chatter over the years. I even saw t-shirts down at Busch this year that touted the Cardinal "dynasty". Huh? It was fun watching the Sox sweep them in the World Series two years ago, and it would be delicious to see them not make the playoffs, after having an 8 1/2 game lead with two weeks to go in the season.

Yep, I'm bitter and grumpy.

C'mon, that hanging curve was out there for over 24 hrs.

Someone HAD to post that response to keep the group's collective self respect.

Sorry it had to be me is all.

And if they do, it'll be everbody's fault but the Genius. If they don't make it, LaRussa will find someone to blame. If he was managing the Christians, I'd root for the Lions(not that I might not do that anyway). He's a dickhead and a phony. Every year his pitchers lead the league in hitting people in the head, and every year LaRussa gives out a phony sermon about pitchers shouldn't be throwing at hitters. Add "hypocrite" to the list too.

Remember this one?---"Gee, I'm sure that my Markie would never dream of taking steroids. You bad sportswriters should leave him alone".

I ain't fond of Houston either. Roger Clemens is just behind or tied with the Professor when it comes to phoniness.....but I'd rather see them sneak in than the Cards.

Damn, looks like we need to bring this back closer to topic to keep it in the basketball forum.

That reminds me, did I mention I thought I saw Ed Hightower at a Cardinal's game last summer? (Or was it Ted Valentine? Hmm...)

Well, BushRef and all your other aliases, if you don't like it, you can always get yourself kicked off the forum again- for the fifth time.
