Jeez, Mets gave it away to the Yankees yesterday afternoon. Wasted Pedro's great start.

Hero worship.

Tiger CF Curtis Granderson's idol, Ken Griffey, Jr., jacked one with bases loaded and Cincinnati took a one run lead in the 7th. Granderson jacked a solo in the 9th to tie up the game with 2 outs.

Kinda cool.

So, Bernie Williams has both the longest and shortest doubles of the night in consecutive at-bats? He bangs one high off the right field fence his first time up, then pops one up in the infield that lands between home and first that no one catches, and he ends up on second. I haven't seen that since Little League...

On the pop fly, if Barry Bonds hadda hit that one, they woulda thrown him out at first.....by 20 feet. Mr. Potatohead don't run out no pop flies, ground balls,etc......

Aw, don't beat around the bush - tell me how you REALLY feel about him...

That same charge was leveled against a couple of the Cubs on Sat.'s game against the White Sox (post-brawl). Runner on first, base hit into left, and both runners barely jog to their bases. No running hard, making the fielder think about having to make a play, perhaps forcing the fielder to make a mistake. I guess high salaries don't necessarily equate to high knowledge of the game.

I'm turning into a grumpy old man!

Jeez, I just saw the NY sports headlines on PTI tonight. They're killing ARod for hitting a home run late in the Sox game when the Yankees were already down 6 or 7 or whatever it was. "Thanks for Nuthin' " and "If it doesn't count for anything, you can count on ARod", or something close to that.

I realize that he's hitting .350 or something like that with nobody on base and only .160 or so with runners in scoring position, but we're not even a third of the way into the season, and the Yankees are right near the top of the division. I'm guessing that he's going to turn it around. I guess being the reigning MVP doesn't carry the cache it used to.

Geeze. A clever, sarcastic and caustic headline in a NY tabloid. Imagine that.

Next you'll tell me there was fiscal corruption on the Big Dig.

Back page of the NY Post: Taking it on the Chein.

Headline of the story: A Wang Night in Beantown.

NY Daily News Headline: The Way of Wang Needs Will of Schill.

Big sigh.......

Aw geeze, say it ain't so, Mr. Obnoxious Grammar Guy......

Is A-Rod hiding his MVP trophy somewhere? In his cache, maybe.

The word is cachet, not cache. They are pronounced the same, but have completely different meanings.

Now.....go sit in the corner.....

go.....shoo, shoo......

Btw, A-Rod is an appropriate name imo.....

Btw, Dan, you can say A-Rod, but you can't say A-Prick....

Nice job slapping our little buddy around there JR! Speaking of that, I googled "a little prick" and got this link. Enjoy

Yeah, yeah. One time, I neglect to click m-w.com and I'm hoisted on a petard. My own, even! Enjoy it while you can.

Royals are in the middle of their second losing streak of 10+ games this season, and we're only two months in. Ugh.

Wakefield is just getting slapped around this season. I feel bad for him.

errrmmm...one is not hoisted on some random petard, one is hoisted by a petard that is in one's possession.

And.....Dee-troit won again last night. The Tigers are not only leading the AL Central, they've got the best record in all of MLB.

That sound that you heard was Mick having an orgasm.
