Thank you for bringing this off-topic thread back on-topic. I can't stand being forced to read all this off-topic crap.

Now, as I'm driving home I'm going to leave my sunroof closed and play some music as loud as I can, no matter what Bud says.

Did you say go White Sox? I guess I will have to agree to disagree with you on this one! I don't think it is as much the white sox as it is AJ Pierzienski(sp)! Something about that guy. It started when he was with SF! The play against anaheim only made it worse (although it wasn't his fault!).

Sure seems that way. Couple of records set last night. My favorite is that Podsednik had 8 official ABs in the game, which is a World Series record.

Well......the good thing is that it ain't the Cubbies.

Man, if they ever won, their fans would probably be as insufferable as the BoSox fans.

Poor Bud was interviewed before the game about his stance on instant replay, and he said he's against it because it would make the games too long.

Then the White Sox and Astros go out and play one of the longest games in World Series history.

By the way, has anybody noticed how Ozzie calls for certain pitchers out of the bullpen? The other night, when he wanted Jenks to come in, he didn't just tap his right or left arm like most managers do. He put his hand up over his head, with the palm facing down, then spread his arms wide, basically saying he wanted the "big" guy in. Then last night, he signaled by putting his hand about chest level, palm down, then put his hands about a foot apart, signaling for the "little" guy, Hermanson.

I'd love to be insufferable.

Just once.

I forgot to mention this, but did anybody else see the shouting match between Carl Everett and Phil Garner? Each was in his respective dugout, shouting the worst obscenities across the field. The worst part was that Fox showed close-ups of each of the participants and, although there was no audio, you didn't need to be a lip-reading expert to know exactly what was said.

Really childish and very bad TV, imo. No way should that have been shown in replay.

That was just plain stoopid. Whatinthehell was Crede thinking about in the first place? He started the nonsense when he yapped at Oswalt after Oswalt nailed him. With 2 on and 2 out, howinthehell can Crede even dream that Oswalt hit him on purpose? Of course, Everett getting involved after that was pretty much of a gimme anyway. Everett gets pissed off if somebody sez "hello" to him.

Chuck, did you really that that FOX wouldn't replay something like- as many times as they could? FOX? Hell, they live for situations like that. Good taste and FOX are never mentioned in the same breath.

Our local Fox station normally has a newscast at 10 pm, but obviously, that was pre-empted as the game dragged on. SO they had a crawler across the bottom of the screen that said, "Stay tuned for Fox news after this game, including details fo Tonya Harding's 911 phone call!" Being a woman of high taste and culture, I didn't watch it. I switched to Drew Carey show re-runs!

Dang, you didn't find out what happened? Geez, now I gotta do a Google search just to keep my knowledge up-to-date.

Poor Tonya.

Tonya Harding's roomie jailed for assault

YACOLT, Wash., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Figure skater-turned-boxer Tonya Harding claimed she was attacked by masked men at her Yacolt, Wash., area home -- but it was her boyfriend who was arrested.

When authorities answered Harding's 911 call for help Sunday night, they found her with a cut over her eye and an abrasion on her cheek, the Portland Oregonian reported.

Harding's boyfriend and roommate, Christopher J. Nolan, 27, told deputies the scrappy skater drank too much, shoved him into to their gravel driveway and bit his finger.

Harding, 34, backed off her masked men report and said the cat scratched Nolan's finger and he attacked her.

Nolan spent the night in jail on a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Harding was stripped of her 1994 U.S. Figure Skating national title for her role in the infamous attack on rival skater Nancy Kerrigan.

Harding's boxing career has been a little rocky as well -- she withdrew from a bout earlier this year after her opponent turned out to be a transvestite.

Hey- it was just a guy in fishnets.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

BTW - here in the Portland area, Tonya is kind of a perpetual joke - like the Blazers.
