It is all the official's fault. If I am not mistaken, the officials did not miss any FTs, open shots or forget to stop the dribbler. But then again, we have to bail out every team for their miscues. I forgot you are the expert watching all those games on a sofa at home.

Peace

??? ??? ????

I took a lot of physics in high school and college, and I don't remember anything about a ball always swishing through the net unless there was a foul. What text are you working from?

So what's all this about Chuck Hayes? I sort of lose my focus and my vision gets misty when he's on the screen, so I guess I missed something. Did he get kicked out of basketball forever?

check out the picture about halfway down on this thread...looks like there was contact, patrick went up, MSU player moved in, contact...

one ref motions for foul prior to shot going in, shot goes in, he doens't call foul

players decide games, and MSU player decided to move in and foul Patrick...the ref knew it, called it, called it off in a bad decision

My previous comments are withdrawn. You're back on my troll list. Better luck next year.

So. All contact is not a foul. It is in the rulebook clearly, but you do not officiate so it would be pointless to give you the reference.

The official had his arm in the air, because that is what you are supposed to do when a basket might count. It was not a foul signal. If it was a foul signal, the official would have come to the foul.

Patrick jumped forward as well. It would have been a horrible foul to call when the shooter jumps into the defender on such desperation shot.

It is obvious you know nothing about the rules or the game. The fact that youÂ’re watching games does not cut it. All contact is not a foul. I am still waiting for your rule references or mechanic references that shows what officials are supposed to do.

Peace

A little further down in the "discussion" there is a pic of UK player clearly, using fanspeak, over the back on a rebound dunk/follow. Did UK player get called for this? NO!

In refering to the original picture in question, it is clear that UK player is jumping forward into MSU player who is being forced back and a way because of the contact. You know the more I look at it this should have been called an offensive foul. So it looks like UK got an extra 8 minutes of undeserved time in the tournament, thus more opportunities to prove they were the better team, which of course they were not. If I am an MSU fanboy, I am pissed that the PC foul didn't get called.

Don't be too sad, UK football is just around the corner, another 3 and 8 season is fast approaching. :O

Sparks is clearly initiating contact. No foul. No fist raised on shot as well. What you saw was the official signaling three point shot. Any contact incidental. I will tell you this there's is no way the officials at that level are going to wait to see if a shot is good to determine whether a foul is called or not. These guys are too good and trust me when I tell you this they could care less who wins or loses.

Actually - they couldn't care less who wins or loses.

A common mistake - kind of like saying "lax-i-daisical".
