I didn't realize that they changed the size. I thought it was due to the fact that my other one was older and some of the cushioning had frayed. Still, I can't help but belive that night in and night out a CMG will still feel better than the hard plastic. Time will tell. I just ordered a Mini CMG to try for volleyball. I'm interested to see what it feels and sounds like.
