I'm a long time CMG fan. Yes, they begin to "fray" a little after the first month, but that's good. It just helps them fit better. I have one I've used for four years and it's still my favorite. They do feel like having a 2x4 in your mouth at first, but they do wear down pretty quickly and feel good.
