When 2 offensive players hold the ball simultaneously and the opposing coach yells for the travel can anyone tell me where in the rulebook it states that that is indeed traveling? I have not been able to find anything about when 2 offensive players hold the ball. Thanks for the help.

You will not find it because it isn't in there. At least one of the players must actually travel for there to be a violation.

thanks for that quick reply.....that is what i thought. If one of the players moves when they possess the ball then they travel...now try to explain that to the masses!! Just another one of the calls that the public has no clue about.

It's in there and it backs you up. Case book play 4.43.2SitB. Legal as long as neither player moved a pivot foot while they had joint possession.

How much moving of the pivot feet, or any other feet, is allowed when two opponents are both holding? Can a player travel when she "shares" possession of the ball with an opponent?

Then it would be a held ball. As to how many steps they get, it is the same as a regular travel.
