I can't say that I have ever seen anything close that I would have called an Intentional Foul on the offense..
Good Call!

By using the phrase above, it gives the indication that a PC may have been a more appropriate call. If you would have said "shoved", an intentional would be more in line. Was the defensive player knocked backwards or to the ground as a result of the offensive player ?

Something about the way it's been stated twice, makes me think that there might be a possible travel violation here before the push.
C'mon fellas.

A push doesn't "sound" intentional but if you use the word shove, it is?

"Something about the way it's been stated,.." She said he took "A STEP." Does that mean every time someobdy uses the term "A STEP," we have to ask several times if it was traveling?

Good grief.

Look BBR....
I have been on this forum for a few years... In fact, it looks like longer than you!

Thumbs up

I have a sign over my desk, relating to users who call me with questions about their computer, programs, etc. It says,

Just to add a little twist...

Let's say that he traveled and then pushed his opponent, but I didn't call that and came up with an intentional right away. What's the difference?

Sara,
Sounds like from everything you've said you nailed it. Feel good about it. You did a great job! I'll take a partner like you on the floor any time! RR

Sara...
With a travel occuring first, the ball would have then become dead.... With a dead ball and the push (shove) by the player of an intentional nature would then be considered a "technical foul"... That coupled with the "T" that you gave him for the verbal aspects would have put him out of the game...
Rule 4, Section 19, Art. 5c

Thanks
A factor here is the suggested implication this kid was physically more advanced than others around him.

Tricky.

You cannot peanalize a kid for being bigger or taller but.... they must stay within the rules too.

2 equal 60 pound B-6 point guards banging around is a balanced advantage during contact.

If mini-Shaq pounds a mini-me with a forearm - advantage gained. Foul.
