This is just between us, ok? It can not go any further than this forum. Promise? Ok.

Just got a phone call this morning from my mother-in-law. She is an avid Sox fan, like myself. She says excitedly, "Did you see the game last night?" I'm thinking to myself, Sox got rained out, no way is she talking about the Celtics. . . so what game are we talking about?

"What game, mom?"

"The game last night! The Red Sox!"

"Mom, the Sox were rained out last night. NESN ran a game from last season."

Silence.

"Well, that's just great. They should've told me!"

I love my mother-in-law.

That's cute.

BTW, gimme her number so I can tell her the next time the '78 playoff game is on espn classic...I'm sure one of these days Bucky Dent will pop up to the second baseman.

...A classic match-up between fast vs. smart
Hockey is about respect.
Predators weren't told. They think it's about goals.
Tonight should tell a lot at the Joe.

I have to admit - this has happened to me numerous times with ESPN Classic.

Usually I'll watch for a few minutes, then think "Hey! Team X is playing Z tonight - not Y!" Only at that point do I notice the logo . . .

Yabut, then maybe Yaz will yank one out in the bottom of the 9th. . . with a runner on third. . . sigh.

You mean instead of popping out to Nettles in foul territory?

...hold on, I gotta go get a little more salt for that old wound.

Grady Dextering Little!!

No need to bring it up, we Sox fans re-live moments like these in our minds every minute of every day of baseball season.

Now can someone tell me why they had to schedule the Sox-Yankees series to start tonight?

Just thought it was kinda ironic that Pedro did the same thing with Baltimore last night. Almost like a pattern developing.

I know it's only April and I know there's 15 more of these to go, but WOW! That was fun. 3 outta 4, and Giambi ends it with a backwards K. Yanks kind of gave it away today, but I'll take it!
