What kids dream of is being in that situation and then winning. The other possibility is the other kind of fantasy.

It is beyond me to think that someone as young as any of these pitchers can have the self-confidence (arrogance? chutzah? onions?) to actually go out there and throw the pitch. I think that's more remarkable than any play or score.

The question is: Is the curse dead? Or did the Bambino spend the last 3 games eating hot dogs with hookers?

I guess we will know when the Red Sox are up a run in the bottom of the 9th.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Before the series started, I figured NY had to win one in Boston and 3 out of 4 in NY in order to take the series. After the Yankees win tonight, that will be it.

This has to be one of the worst managerial moves in the history of baseball. Why energize the crowd when you are up by 7 and don't need Pedro. Save him for the WS.

The only thing I could think of is that Francona was trying to give Pedro a confidence boost. If he goes in and has a great inning, then he is the man again. But that didn't happen, so now how does he feel? Like they won despite him?
