I turned on Fox sports to watch the big game and they were replaying some old Little League game...the "visitors" (team up first) were very shaky, their pitcher took a batted ball off his ankle early in the game (geeze I hope he's OK) and they did a little better after that - at least the kid that came in could get the ball over the plate. The "home" team didn't get enough of a lead to stop the game but it was close.

So Chuck, how did your game at the stadium go?

Man, oh, man.

The sweet Italian sausage was pretty awesome, tho.

The Philly ballpark is awesome. Design features borrowed heavily from PNC in Pittsburgh.

Dan was oh so supportive, by the way, in my time of despair. I've since deleted his number from cell phone.

Is it my imagination, or did the Red Sox manager leave Pedro in the game in the 8th inning when everybody knew he was done? Was that last night? Or was it last October?

Could we please get a manager who knows what the bleep he's doing? Unbelievable.

Hey, we like Terry Francona just as much as we liked Grady Little.

I honestly can't figure these guys out. Pedro is only good for a maximum of about 100 pitches or 7 innings. He was obviously laboring. Get his a$$ outa there. And is Foulke injured? Or are they saving him for the wild card race? Timlin looked like he was done too before he gave up that insurance run. Hell, with all the weird things Francona was doing, I'm kinda surptised that he didn't bring Byung Kim in. I ain't complaining, though.

Manny scares the hell outa me when he's got a bat in his hands. Fortunately, his glove seems to be made outa wood too.

That doesn't sound like quitting to me. I think it's just realistic after the Baltimore series. I actually came to Manny's conclusion after last weekend in NY.
