This is a common complaint by many coaches and spectators and players... It seems to fit along with the "reaching" foul everyone wants called, when there's no contact. (even is there is contact, no such thing as a "reach" as a foul - a hack, hold, etc..., but no "reach")

What amazed me was watching a Varsity HS official, several years ago, go to the table and report an over-the-back foul, using a "Bat-Man" signal to signal it! I just about fell over laughing!

Most officials seem pretty good, when you ask "over-the-back" because, for some dumb reason, they call it that, they change their wording to a push.
