Thorw-In Spot

T/F: Unless a throw-in is the result of the ball/player going out-of-bounds or due to a technical foul or AP throw-in, throw-ins should be administered from the appropriate designated (one of eight) throw-in spot.

If false, why?

(Yes, I have an opinion, but I'm asking neutrally.)
