Ball lodged...or is it?
A player shoots the ball and it appears to be lodged between the rim and backboard. Most players stop their movements, thinking it is stuck. The officials do not blow their whistles. The ball, however, is actually, ever-so-slightly, moving when a player jumps and dislodges it.
Is this some sort of goaltending or basket interference at all? |

Basketball Rules Fundamental Sixteen ...
If the ball is touched by a player after it lodges and but before an official gets a chance to sound a whistle, does this apply?
Basketball Rules Fundamentals 16. The official’s whistle seldom causes the ball to become dead (it is already dead). Thus, no basket interference.
