What do you do?
My experience is that the timer wouldn't blow the horn to tell on themselves. With 5:01 on the clock - especially in quarter 1-3 - timers will usually just say "oops" and start it ASAP and unless the official(s) saw it, they'll never know.

As noted, any definitive knowledge can be used, but would the trail recall where precisely his backcourt count ended? And try to get together to add any other counts that were used?

I suspect most officials - at this point in the game - will just say "move on".
