He catches the ball with his foot on the floor. The editor even paused the video!

I question, Why would the video be shown if it were so obvious the correct ruling was made?

To me, the case plays describe "what is or is not a BCV"!

Ok, let me have it!
What you suggest happened is not accurate. He caught the ball in the air and 9-3-3 is exactly the applicable rule.

The editor paused the video when the first foot came down AFTER the ball was caught in the air and then paused it again when the second foot came down (completing the normal landing).

The video is made to illustrate to those that don't know the rule or don't think the rule is applicable.

I looked at the video again, and I now agree with Camron Rust (and everybody else).

The double hop off his left foot fooled me.

Legal play.

Next time, instead of trying to officiate a college game, I'll buy a ticket and sit in the cheap seats where I belong.

Is the rule different for high school?

I believe it's the same. All the more reason to make me sit in the cheap seats.

this rule is exactly the same. And, on this play, benefit of the doubt to the offense (no violation).

After viewing the video several times, I have no doubt (no violation).

In a real game, in real time, without the benefit of the video, to react in a split second, it's a tough call.

And when in doubt, you go with the no-call.
