Money grabs in those sports? Not sure I agree with that considering that many times this is part of the process to decide if someone makes the NCAA Tournament near the end of the season in those sports. So I do not see this as a money grab as this could highlight a team that would not normally make it by simply their resume. I think they are good end of the year experiences for the players and the schools. It is sad this had to happen, but probably necessary. But this idea that they have no value is kind of silly.

Definitely appears, at least at some levels, there will be fewer games to officiate for the 2020-21 season:

Some cuts due to finances announced by the MWC: baseball, women’s soccer, and tennis tourneys all scrapped for 20-21, all regular-season baseball series for the conf will be played over two days instead of three with one day involving a DH, all officiating fees are frozen.
