How Do You Train?

1) How Many meetings do you hold with your members? The association that I belong to has 9 meetings during regular season, and that doesn't include the mandatory rules meeting before the we have our first association meeting.

2) How is each meeting structured? You have a group meeting and then break out into smaller classes? What % of meeting time is done in group meeting vs Break out? Our meetings are structured by having our rules interpreter going over plays and also going over other situation that occur.

3) Is watching videos part of each meeting? We haven't used video in our meetings but it is more on an individual basis if the coaches upload the video to be viewed.

4) How much time is dedicated to on court training? During the season we spend 2 meetings dedicated to on court training, 2 person and 3 person mechanics.

We also do a lot of off season training for officials as we hold 2 camps during the summer along with a clinics for new officials focusing on mechanics and positioning.
