I've now watched it five times, plus stopping and starting the slo-mo replay in the video. There just isn't a push by W45.

Not as obvious a foul as we might prefer, but I can definitely see why the official called it. I would say this is defendable by a supervisor and not as bad as the announcers and WVU coaches think.

If it were the L making the call, I might accept that. Since it was the T, there is no chance he could have seen such a thing from where he was. He called the collision.

The push that was there was before the ball came off the rim...and that was too far in the past to be what he called.

He called the foul on W45. Big heavier fellow. Not the fellow under the basket. W45 has two hands on him in paint. T has a good look at that…but that isn't what sent the defender into the other player. he was going after ball on his own not as result of being pushed.

I don't see a foul worth calling here, and if there was/is one it should have come from the L or maybe the C, not the bailing T who sees 2 players crash and fall (and happen to be on the same team).

You're right. I thought the call was on the other player.

And as you said, it wan't really a push.

I have no problem with the call. Might be a miss, but I can live with that call.

My biggest issue is with the jacka$$ on the end of the bench. Anyone who works with me knows that doesn't fly. you don't have to like calls as an assistant, but you will not act out...
